Job Title: Part-Time Director - Tallassee Chamber of Commerce

About Us: The Tallassee Chamber of Commerce is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Part-Time Director. We are an organization dedicated to supporting the growth and success of businesses in our community. 

About the Role: As Director, you will discover and seek to attract and promote tourism, business, economic improvement and quality of life activities within the city and community of Tallassee.  You will play a key role in planning, organizing, and executing a variety of events, including networking events, workshops, and community celebrations. You will work closely with our team and local businesses to ensure our events are successful and engaging. 

Responsibilities:

•    Assist in planning, organizing, and executing chamber events.

•    Manage event logistics, including venue selection, vendor coordination, and event promotion.

•    Develop and maintain event budgets.

•    Provide excellent customer service to event attendees and chamber members.

•    Maintain accurate event records and reports.

•    Assist with other administrative tasks as needed. 

Requirements:

•    High school diploma or equivalent.

•    Strong organizational and time management skills.

•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

•    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

•    Proficiency in computer skills.

•    Experience in event planning or customer service a plus.
